Dormer was born of Queensland. He was posted from No 61 OTU to the Middle East in January 1942 and served in No 127 Squadron from May 1942. Alford, Wally

Wally was born in Sydney on the 25th March 1911. He enlisted on the 8th January 1940 and served in Darwin with the 457 Squadron as Adjutant with the rank of Flight Lieutenant. He was discharged on the 24th November 1944.

Robert, or Bob as he was known to his friends, Bob achieved a hand full of sorties with No 457 Squadron and completed his tour in October 1943.
