Queen’s Birthday honour to Mr Jack Anastas OAM

It is with the greatest honour that I congratulate one of our own, Mr Jack Anastas, on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.

Jack was rightly recognised for a lifetime of service to the welfare of veterans of the Australian Defence Force, and the community, as follows:

President, National Association of Extremely Disabled War Veterans, NSW Branch, 2012-2017.
Representative (Central Coast), Spitfire Association, since 2005.
Former Supporter, Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy Club.
Honorary Treasurer, Police Blue Light Disco, Gosford, 1983-1996.

Lions Clubs International:
Member, Terrigal – Wamberal Lions Club, current.
Former Member, Gosford City Lions Club and Killarney Bateau Lions Club.
Former Chairman, Kids Diabetes Camp NSW (was a project of the Gosford Lions Club)
Member, since 1973.
Life Member.
District Governor, District 201N3, 1995-1996 and Deputy District Governor, 1984-1985.
